Job Description

Nepal Agriculture Market Development Programme (NAMDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Switzerland and the Government of Nepal. The project is being implemented jointly by Swisscontact and Center for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED). We invite applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions:

Office Driver - 1

Supervisor: Admin and HR Officer
Purpose of the job: Under the supervision of the Admin Assistant, the incumbent will drive the office vehicle to the authorised destination

 

Required Qualification
- At least School Leaving Certificate with valid driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years driving experience in similar office environment
- Must be able to read and write in English as well as understand and communicate in English
- Must be able to multi-task and take responsibilities independently
- Must have basic know how of vehicle maintenance and apply all safety precautions
- Must be familiar with all roads in the Kathmandu valley and main cities of Nepal
- Must have experience driving in the remote hills and rough terrain of Nepal

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Drive office vehicle for transportation of authorised personnel, document delivery and pickup
- Maintain log book for all travels, mileage, gas consumption and oil change
- Maintain office vehicle with regular check-ups and cleaning
- Maintain passenger safety while driving
- Perform other duties as required
