Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Livelihood and Natural Resources related objective of AAIN and ensure effective Food, Livelihood and Natural Resources programmes management.
- Build capacity of relevant AAIN, PNGO staffs and networks on issues relating to Food, Livelihood and Natural Resources.
- Ensure effective network/ linkage with existing partners, alliances, key actors engaged in Right to Food, Livelihood and Natural Resources at national and international levels.
- Monitor & evaluate work relating to Food, Livelihood and Natural Resources.
- Contribute to overall Knowledge, Policy and Governance department to develop and implement strategies and policies.
- Take Corporate Responsibilities.
Key competencies required:
Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Agriculture or relevant social science
A minimum of five years’ experience in the development sector with three years’ experience in senior level position
Knowledge on national and international laws and policies relating to Right to Food, Food Sovereignty, Livelihood and Natural Resources and Agricultural Development Policy and Strategy
Excellent skills in written and spoken English and Nepali including the ability and experience to compose, edit, analyse and report using complex information
Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
Excellent computer skills including navigating email, internet and MS WORD, Excel, and PowerPoint
This is a senior level position based in Kathmandu with frequent travel inside the country.
