Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit making, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara. LI-BIRD is committed to capitalizing on local initiatives for sustainable management of renewable natural resources and improving livelihoods of rural people in Nepal and the South Asia region.

Rebuilding Family Farming (RFF) in Response to Earthquake in Nepal is LI-BIRD's initiative to provide support for the recovery of earthquake affected farming communities in the most affected areas. Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) Germany is funding a project under our RFF initiative in 20 VDCs of Dolakha and Sindhupalchowk districts from September 2015 to December 2016.

Project Leader (PL) (Level 8) - 1 (To Be Based In Sindhupalchowk) [Duration: Project Period]

Job Summary: Reporting to Senior Programme Manager, PL will be responsible for the overall planning, implementing, monitoring, coordination and reporting of DKH funded RFF project in Dolakha and Sindhupalchowk districts. PL's duties include: staff management; financial management; developing congenial working relationships with the team of RFF projects funded through other donors in the same region; establishing quality coordination with the government agencies and key stakeholders at local, district and national level to ensure quality delivery of project.

Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Social Science, Environmental Science or Natural Resources Management or related field with 3 years work experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting on related fields.
