Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit making, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara. Community Resiliency Programme, SABAL is a USAID funded project implemented in six districts (Khotang, Makwanpur, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Sindhuli and Udaypur) from 2014 to 2019 under the lead of Save the Children with LI-BIRD as a consortium partner. The project aims to increase resilience of targeted vulnerable populations in Nepal.

Job Summary: The IC reports to the Senior Agriculture and Livestock Advisor and is primary responsible for providing technical inputs for improving irrigation facilities appropriate to the local context through strong coordination with SABAL partners in their districts. IC's major duties include: identify/design/develop low-cost irrigation interventions to agriculture development; enhance capacity of partners' staff on improving micro-irrigation facilities.
Education and Experience: Masters in Civil/Agri Engineering with 3 years of work experience or Bachelors in Civil/Agri Engineering with 5 years experience in relevant field.
