Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit making, non-governmental organization established in October 1995 with its Head Office in Pokhara. ‘Home Garden Project (HGP) Phase IV’ is an Embassy of Switzerland/Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC) funded Project (within the framework of international cooperation; based on Project Agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland), implemented by LI-BIRD (Project Support Unit) in 20 districts of Nepal from 1 November 2014 to 15 July 2018.

Job Summary: Reporting to Team Leader, FO will be responsible to implement, co-ordinate and manage the project by involving all the stakeholders including DADO/ASCs, DDC, VDC and AFEC. The FO’s duties include: ensuring overall implementation of project activities; monitoring and quality control; capacity building of farmers groups; organizing public hearing and social audit activities and co-ordinating with SDC-funded projects for synergy.
Education, Experience and Social Competence: Bachelors in Agriculture or Natural Resource Management. Candidates with two years of experiences will have an advantage. Sensitivity in the areas of gender and social inclusion.
