Role overview

Working with young people in an international development context, managing projects at a community and national level, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for effective ICS project delivery by supporting Project Manager, other project Coordinators, Recruitment and Induction Coordinator and volunteers through pastoral support, guidance on project implementation and ensuring safety, security and welfare processes in the project implementation.

Skills, qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) in relevant subject with at least two years relevant experience.
  • IT (MS office) proficiency.
  • Able to develop clear and realistic plans to deliver agreed objectives within deadlines, involving key individuals in the planning process.
  • Experience of managing budgets and undertaking accounting procedures.
  • Sufficient experience of working with volunteers to understand the key factors which make volunteer placements viable, effective and rewarding.
  • 2-3 Years experience of working with and providing support to 18-25 year olds from a wide range of backgrounds with proven ability to facilitate learning in a non-formal environment .
  • Direct and substantial experience of working cross-culturally and able to communicate to a range of audiences and promote sharing and learning between cultures.
  • Possession of strong verbal communication to work effectively and inclusively with an overseas colleague. Strong written communication skills (in English) needed for writing reports.
  • Experience of working in rural context and social mobilization.

Placement of this position is within Project Implementation Locations i.e.Surkhet/Lamjung/Baglung or any other location which is subject to change as per project requirement.
