Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Administration
1. Assist in logistics and admin management for the project in Kathmandu and field Office,
2. Communication, data entry,
translation and note talking of various events in central and district offices.
3.
Regular communicate with field team to provide support on administration related works,
4. Filing-program files as delegated by managers.
5. Assist in other Admin Task as per requirement for the project
6. Travel to 
field as required to support for administrative related works of the project.

Logistic and Procurement
1. Initiate procurement and logistics related requests for Earthquake Recovery Program.
2. Support for maintaining and updating inventory for Earthquake Recovery program,
3. Maintain and update stationeries and other materials stock for the project.
4. Receive goods and verify as per the quality/quantity ordered for the project.
5. Initiate to deliver goods to 
district office as and when required.
6. Visit project districts to verify the goods sent to 
field are in place. 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years’ experience with office administration; computer skills are required, must be an independent thinker and have strong organizational skills; Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a benefit

ï‚· A minimum of two years experience in administrative or operational support functions with a humanitarian nongovernmental organization.
ï‚· At least Bachelor degree in Administration, Business Study, Management or Social Science discipline.
ï‚· Experience in setting up and managing office administration systems.
ï‚· Demonstrated understanding of emergencies and related security concerns.
ï‚· Excellent writing and communications skills.
ï‚· Excellent negotiation, representation, skills and the ability to work comfortably with an ethnically diverse staff.
ï‚· Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization and computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Nepali typing will be an asset.
ï‚· Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
ï‚· Proven ability to solve problems independently without direct supervision.
