Job Description

Technical and Vocational Education and Training officer - 01 Position
(Full time based in Nepalgunj)

As part of the Regional-based Technical Support Unit (TMG) the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Officer will work directly with the TVET/Market Systems Advisor and Regional team based in Nepalgunj on the implementation the PAHAL program in 14 districts across the Far- and Mid-West development regions of Nepal. The TVET officer under the supervision of the regional Team Leader and the TVET Advisor will provide a facilitative, systems-led approach to exploring the nexus between unemployment and under-employment (especially that of youth), technical/vocational skills available and required, training options and their quality and the absorptive capacity and developing needs of the labor market.

Minimum Requirement:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social and human sciences, international development or another relevant field is required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in relevant program/project management, including focus on youth and workforce development is required. Knowledge and understanding of systems led approaches is highly preferred.
