Position 2: Programme Officer – Education/Disability - 1 (based in Doti)
Education is one of UMN’s key technical areas, focusing on improving the delivery of quality education, both formal and non-formal, in remote communities, through strengthening the capacity of local partner organisations. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team in a field office. The main purpose of the job is to provide technical support to education and disability projects, assisting the partner organisations to implement effective education/ disability-related programmes.
Qualification and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Social Science with at least three years of relevant working experience in education, inclusion and CBR approach;
• Sound knowledge of Formal and Non-Formal education and disability issues in Nepal;
• Good knowledge in programme planning, budgeting, reporting and developing proposals;
• Working experience in inclusive education;
• Experience in working with government schools and NGOs;
• Networking and social skills necessary to build effective working relationship with a broad range of people;
• Knowledge of teacher training, NFE facilitation, CRPD, CBR based approaches, monitoring and coaching skills will be an added advantage;
• Excellent language and communication skills both in Nepali and English.
