Program Coordinator (1) – ORS Zinc |
Job Type: Time Bound Contract
Duty Station: Province 2
Role and Responsibility:
The Program Coordinator-ORS/Zinc will be responsible to provide technical support and oversight effective and efficient implementation of the ORS/Zinc project for the treatment of diarrhea for children below 5 years of age in Province 2. The Project coordinator shall ensure adequate availability and accessibility of ORS/Zinc combo pack in project area as well as encourage staffs working in Pharmacies to prescribe ORS/Zinc as the preferred treatment for diarrhea.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in any health related studies or D. Pharm/HA/SN with Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline

The Nepal Contraceptive Retail Sales (CRS) Project was established in July 1976. Its status was formally acknowledged by the Ministry of Finance in 1978. Financial support was provided by USAID through Westinghouse Electric Inc, USA.
The social marketing of Dhaal, Nepal’s first male contraceptive, was inaugurated by
Princess Prekshya in May 1978. These condoms were sold through 55 outlets in Kathmandu and generated significant sales from the outset. The project introduced Nepal’s first condom vending machine in Kathmandu in 1980.
