Nepal CRS Company is a not-for-profit organization engaged in social marketing of family planning, maternal child health and other health products in Nepal. Nepal CRS is supported by different donors. Its’ mission is to inspire and enable under-served and vulnerable/marginalized Nepalese people to change their behaviors for healthier lives by making products accessible, affordable and increasing awareness through implementation of cutting edge BCC (Behavior Change Communication) activities. Nepal CRS is currently looking for:

Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager
Duty Station: Nepal CRS Company, Head Office, Tokha - Kathmandu
 

Roles and Responsibilities:     
The Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) Manager will lead RME related activity within CRS and support monitoring & evaluation and research of GGMS/CRS activities in Nepal. This will include strengthening CRS MIS systems as they relate to support RME; collaborating with MOH and partners to measure implementation strength of GGMS; providing support to social marketing research and household surveys; leading data analysis of GGMS activities and further analysis of CRS related data/surveys; and supporting documentation and knowledge management efforts.
 

Minimum Qualification:  Master’s degree or higher from a reputed institute/ university in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Demography or Public health. 

Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of progressively responsible technical and management experience related to social marketing research, household surveys, LQAS surveys, monitoring & evaluation, and MIS

Required Skills: Knowledge or relevant/ any specific software for M&E data analysis and MIS. 
Strong written & spoken language (both Nepali and English), excellent computer skills and strong interpersonal, communication, reporting & analytical skills.

Closing date of Application: October 31, 2017

The post type will be on Contract basis until April 20, 2020 with possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance and contingent to the extension of the funding. All other terms and conditions as per Nepal CRS Employee Service Bye laws, 2071.

Organization Summary

The Nepal Contraceptive Retail Sales (CRS) Project was established in July 1976. Its status was formally acknowledged by the Ministry of Finance in 1978. Financial support was provided by USAID through Westinghouse Electric Inc, USA.

The social marketing of Dhaal, Nepal’s first male contraceptive, was inaugurated by
Princess Prekshya in May 1978. These condoms were sold through 55 outlets in Kathmandu and generated significant sales from the outset. The project introduced Nepal’s first condom vending machine in Kathmandu in 1980.
