Project Description:
IFES Nepal is currently we are seeking an Operations Coordinator to help with our project implementation in Nepal. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Support Chief of Party on program and office management including day-to-day tracking of program operations;
  • Support the Nepal team for communications, regular reporting, including daily updates, operations reports, monthly reports, quarterly reports, project success stories and final reports;
  • Support the program team,in coordination with the DC-based program staff, with the development of strategic documents such as work plans, concepts and proposals;
  • Serve as the contact point and facilitator for international, on-site consultants;
  • Work with finance staff and the Chief of Party to conduct project procurement and manage project finances according to organizational and donor regulations;
  • Assist Chief of Party in monitoring all aspects of project agreement/donor and local government compliance and associated regulations and requirements;
  • Support local staff development and annual review process;
  • Assist with the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office;
  • Perform other duties, as assigned by the Chief of Party and Washington HQ.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in international development, with experience implementing elections assistance and civil society projects (field experience preferred);
  • Proven project administration and financial/procurement skills;
  • Experience with USAID regulations;
  • Proven track record of excellent writing and editing abilities;
  • Solid and proven proposal development skills;
  • Capacity to work well with minimal supervision;
  • Strong professional and collaborative management skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong oral communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal/representational skills;
  • Familiarity with the international donor community; and
  • Familiarity with political, economic, and social issues in Nepal and/or the region (preferred).
