Job Description

  • Manages all aspects of the Task in the absence of the general manager
  • Approves budgets, staffing and general operating procedures and other plans for the rooms, housekeeping, maintenance and repair and security departments; directs the work of department heads
  • Functions as an administrative link between departments
  • Monitors internal cost control procedures
  • Plans and coordinates training and professional development programs for himself or herself
  • Assists the general manager in developing and implementing long-range (strategic) and annual (business) plans, operating reports, forecasts and budgets
  • Maintains contact with Staffs and helps to assure maximum staffs  satisfaction
  • Receives and resolves complaints from  guests and employees
  • Participates in on-going facility inspections throughout the Hotels to assure that cleanliness, maintenance, safety and other standards are consistently attained
  •  May serve as a departmental manager in that manager’s absence
  • Attends management and staff meetings as scheduled
  •  Interacts with Staffs answering questions, solving problems, overseeing services and cleanliness and showing the Hotel facilities to visitors
  • Serves as a hotel representative within the community
  •  Undertakes special projects as requested by the general manager
  • Counsels with other managers and employees about employee grievances and complaints; directs problem correction where possible

  • Must be well informed and well experienced in Hotel Management
  • Must posess sound financial and accounting knowledge
  • Must have broad marketing knowledge and good sales skills 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask and work in an organized and systematic manner
  • Must demonstrate critical and creative thinking
  • Must possesses good report writing and presentation skills
  • Must demonstrate high degree of professionalism and good work ethics
  • Must be able to preform well under pressure    
  • Must be able to travel and work from various location
  • Must be able to conduct research and analysis
  • Must have capacity in working in team
