Position: Technical Officer- Sub-Engineer
Location: Program VDCs based at Dolakha, Nuwakot and Dhading Districts
Duration of Employment:
ï‚· One year fixed term contract (extendable)
Education:
ï‚· Diploma in Civil engineering
Prior work Experience:
ï‚· Fresh Graduates
Language:
ï‚· Fluent English and Nepali in speaking, reading and writing are required.
Skills and abilities:
ï‚· AutoCAD
ï‚· Training delivery and social mobilization
ï‚· Familiar with various computer software packages, including Microsoft Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
Detail Term of Reference:
ï‚· Conducting/assisting various training programs and orientations in program VDCs
ï‚· Support for the implementation of Local Reconstruction Technology Center (LRTC) and District Reconstruction Technology Center (DRTC) activities
ï‚· Regular Supervision and monitoring of construction.
ï‚· Drawings and Estimating of various construction related activities
ï‚· Coordinate activities with senior staff.
ï‚· Produce written reports on program activities and outcomes
ï‚· Perform other duties as assigned.

National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET), with funding support from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is implementing a 5-year “Baliyo Ghar” program to contribute to safer reconstruction in Nepal.
The objective of the program is to ensure disaster- resilient construction of houses through awareness, training, demonstration and support on code compliance. The program aims to expand the technical knowledge and expertise gathered during the program implementation for achieving the broader goal of disaster resilient housing construction in Nepal.
