Job Description

No. of Positions: One

Appointment Type: Full Time for one year with possibility of extension

Required Qualification:  Bachelors' degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering

Experience: One year or more in software design and development

Location: Kathmandu Valley with travel to program municipalities as when required

Skill and Abilities: 

  • Understanding and skills of the principle of software development. Good command over at least one backend programming language (C/C++, Python, PHP, C#, Java); should know at least one backend framework (Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, Code Igniter, ASP .Net MVC, Ruby/Rails); Strong knowledge of frontend technology [CSS (Flex, Grid, Box layouts), JavaScript (React/Vue/jQuery) and excellent in documentation skill.

Organization Summary

 

National Society for Earthquake Technology-Nepal (NSET), with funding support from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is implementing a 5-year “Baliyo Ghar” program to contribute to safer reconstruction in Nepal.


The objective of the program is to ensure disaster- resilient construction of houses through awareness, training, demonstration and support on code compliance. The program aims to expand the technical knowledge and expertise gathered during the program implementation for achieving the broader goal of disaster resilient housing construction in Nepal.
