Job Description

Shelter Technical officer (Engineer)-1 based in Melamchi, Sindhupalchok,

Job Duration: 12 months and contract renewable

This is officer level positions in CSRC team who are responsible for managing stronger communities and safer habitat project six VDCs in Sindhupalchowk. S/he reports to the Programme Coordinator.

a. Areas of Responsibilities

The Shelter Technical officer (Reconstruction) will be responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of construction activities mainly model houses and Community identified projects; and support on conducting earthquake resilient Mason training to craftsperson as required by the project . S/he is primarily working together in close coordination with Project Coordinator, District Shelter Coordinator of CARE Nepal, Quality Assurance Officers (Reconstruction and DRR), GBV officer, Consortium members, and other reconstruction Projects.S/he is responsible for producing reports as required by CSRC management. Further, S/heresponsible to manage the sub-engineer under appointed the project.

b. Experiences and Skills

The applicants must have:

i) minimum of two year relevant work experiences in earthquake resilience construction with relevant experiences on management and delivery of mason training

ii) Experience in managing and motivating staff

iii) good experience of monitoring project activities and providing strategic direction based on monitoring outcomes;

iv) hands on experience in managing partnership with government, civil society and community institutions;

c. Academic Qualification

This position requires minimum Bachelor in engineering
