Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direct supervision of Head, Finance Department to ensure profitability through maximum cost control and reduction;
  • Provide critical assessment of budgets and cost projections for profitability;
  • Assess products and services purchases to ensure the best price;
  • Remain well aware of low-cost market trends that could impact resource costs;
  • Keep up to date on new vendors, possible cost-cutting partnerships and develop proactive solutions;
  • Analyze invoices and contracts to ensure correct products/services were received at expected cost;
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers relevant to low-cost operation;
  • Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising low-cost service;
  • Define cost management terminologies, the cost management process, and recommend low-cost benchmarks;
  • Generate Earned Value report and submit to HOD - Finance Department;
  • Detect issues from Earned Value;
  • Report and effectively communicate H9's cost performance, concerns PA recovery plans

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in cost control of an international low cost airline
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to generate budgets and reports
  • Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately
  • Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems

Organization Summary

Himalaya Airlines is a new Nepal-China Joint Venture Airline Company, is an international scheduled air carrier, set to become the second international carrier linking directly to various Asian cities in the first stage of the plan.

The company plans to link to various cities of Asian / Middle East Country’s with fleet of A 319 and A 320 aircraft in the beginning and expanding to acquire 15 Airbus family aircraft including long haul wide bodied aircraft for our scheduled operations to cities of Europe as well as Far East Asian regions including cities of South Asian region countries within a period of five years
