United World Schools Nepal is a charity with the aim of providing quality education to children living in faraway rural villages of Nepal through modern teaching and learning methodology. Since its inception in late 2015, the organization has successfully constructed 44 schools in Sankhuwasabha and Gulmi district, thus enrolling and ensuring quality education to over 7000 children. In UWS Nepal-managed schools, the quality of education is maintained by formulating a need-based curriculum and introducing well-researched methodologies that allow for greater innovation in the classroom and greater engagement between the in-class lessons and real life. Further, UWS Nepal pro-actively invests in quality education for girls in marginalized communities to empower young women to create better prospects for their families and their futures.
UWS Nepal builds schools including WASH and other facilities that are required for the schools. UWS Nepal has been implementing the school construction projects in 12 municipalities of Sankhuwasabha and Gulmi, with expected expansion to others in the near future. Thus, UWS Nepal invites applications from eligible Nepali candidates for the full-time position of Construction Officer. The Construction Officer is required to plan, manage, and coordinate the building activities in the communities where UWS works. They are expected to provide overall guidance to the field construction teams regarding school construction. The officer also needs to liaise with the related government offices and like-minded organizations in Province 1.
