Job Description

Under the direction of the Education Director, Technical Officer is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating computer labs set up each selected school sites in province 1. The coordinator leads program orientation, prepare and conduct training plans, prepare impact matrix and prepare progress reports in a quarterly basis to submit to the province level government. The coordinator will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of e-Education project in Province 1. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, develop and implement building of computer labs in rural areas across Nepal
  2. Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices
  3. Provide technical support or training for systems and networks
  4. Act as link between schools and province-level government
  5. Train Technical Officers
  6. Install and configure software and hardware (printers, network cards etc.)
  7. Monitor Impact of the implemented project
  8. Activity and resource planning
  9. Analyze and manage project risk
  10. Monitor progress
  11. Manage reports and necessary documentation

Job Specification

  • Proven experience as IT coordinator or similar role
  • Prior experience in network management
  • Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications
  • 1+ years’ experience as an IT professional
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
  • Should have completed Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
  • Computer Certification is a plus
