SOS Children's Villages Nepal is a non-political and non-denominational organization. It has been supporting children who have been orphaned, abandoned or whose families are unable to care for them.
SOS Children's Villages Nepal invites application from result oriented and highly motivated Nepalese candidates for the following position at its National Office, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
Communication Officer (1)
The Candidate will be responsible for all internal and external communication for ongoing programs of SOS Children's Villages Nepal. S/he will support the communication needs and strengthen overall external communication capacities including emergency communication and media handling. This will include the production of all electronic/print-based project events, planning events, drafting of press releases, monitoring and analyzing media coverage, publication and other related external communications. In addition, s/he has to ensure that all promotional and communication products and platforms are consistent with SOS brand standards and should maintain network with communication practitioners in Nepal.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Nepali and English language, with at least three years of experience in communication materials design, production and content preparation. S/he should be well versed in latest electronic publishing methods. Working experience in the field of Media Relations, Public Relations, Advertising, Publishing and Editing will be preferred. Candidates are expected to have excellent interpersonal skills with positive attitude.
Educational Qualification:
Master's degree in Major English or Mass communications/ Journalism or other relevant fields.
