Job Description
For the rapid expansion of our Cross Border business (Daraz Global), we are looking for a candidate that can develop, coordinate and lead the Cross Border business in Nepal. Until the build-up of a larger team to support this business unit, we are looking for a self-driven personality that can take responsibility across various functions.
The candidate will be responsible for the overall performance of Daraz’ Cross Border business in Nepal (Onsite, Commercial, Marketing, Traffic, Assortment & close coordination with PR, Finance and Operations)
The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing assortment and merchandising strategies for Daraz’ cross border business
For the success of the Cross Border business it will be required to be in frequent contact with colleagues from the regional cross border team, local category managers as well as our seller management team in Shenzhen, China
The candidate needs to develop and maintain very detailed insights into the current Nepalese e-commerce markets to inform the assortment and merchandising strategy vis-à-vis competitors
The candidate shall be sensitive to the customer journey on our Cross Border channels, and manage this experience, including the on-site CB channel
This will include close coordination with teams from Traffic Ops, Customer Service, Marketing, PR & Finance
For that purpose, the candidate must be aware of local campaigns, their relevance to Cross Border and ultimately manage CB’s participation in such campaigns
Beyond commercial aspects of onsite, marketing, assortment and campaigns, the candidate needs to be comfortable in understanding the Nepalese regulatory import regime and be in close contact with local Daraz operations team
This role will require a good communicator due to the reliance on many cross-functional teams across the organization to get things done
The Head of Cross Border will report to the Regional Head of Cross Border, as well as the Local Senior Manager

Joining Cross Border in the early stages will give the candidate exposure to all parts of the business, as well as frequent exchange with senior management of the company

Requirements
Around 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role all of which has been gained from the logistics or e-commerce industry or in regulatory agencies related to Cross border trade
Minimum Bachelor‘s degree in Supply Chain, Finance or Business
Good organizational and communication skills, able to respond well and work under pressure and has a positive can-do attitude
Substantial successful experience of delivering services, managing business cycles, inventory & e-commerce with dynamic inter personal skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
International Mindset with proven ability to work across different cultures and locations
