Job Description

ICCO-Part of Cordaid (ICCO) is a global development organization with its HQ in the Netherlands and works across 20 developing countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America. Together with our local and international partners, knowledge institutes, private sector and government agencies and networks, we work towards improving food security and sustainable consumption, economic empowerment and humanitarian assistance. In Asia, we work in four countries.

ICCO Nepal office invites applications from interested and qualified candidates for the position of Project Coordinator (PC) based at ICCO Kathmandu Office, working for ACT Alliance Nepal Forum and ICCO. This is a short-term position for a period of 10 months.

Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating implementation of ACT Alliance Nepal forum’s collective Covid19 response project, ACT Appeal NPL211. S/he will also be responsible for data collection, analysis, and tracking project performance as well as reporting of the project. S/he will also ensure quality implementation throughout project cycle and high quality (timely) reporting on the progress towards the achievement of milestones, outcomes and impact of the project. S/he will be working closely with the project implementation team of ACT members implementing the project, their local partners and networks/coalitions, other stakeholders in accordance with ACT Alliance and ICCO’s plans and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Ensure that the project activities of all ACT Alliance Nepal Forum members participating in NPL211 follow the plans
  • Lead implementation of ICCO’s project activities under the collective project NPL211
  • Lead project reviews and coordination meetings at regular intervals that look at Resource, Financial, Quality, Risk and Reporting plans
  • Leading the design, data collection and analysis
  • Ensure data quality and facilitate data-utilization for reporting and documentation of best practices/lessons learnt

Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Reporting

  • Leading the development of an evaluation design, tools, protocols and procedures for the project.
  • Collect progress reports from organizations participating in NPL211 as per plan and consolidate them
  • Prepare and finalize technical reports (quarterly/monthly/annual) in compliance with the organizations and donor procedures and agreements
  • Prepare M&E reports for internal and external audience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced University Degree in Project Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, or relevant academic subject, preferably with specialization in project management, monitoring and evaluation;
  • At least 2-3 years prior experience on humanitarian/ DRR projects
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in program coordination, monitoring and evaluation, data collection, analysis and management, quantitative and qualitative research;
  • Experience in using data analysis tools
  • Experience in technical report writing and research activities
  • Capable of working in a dynamic, intercultural, multi stakeholder setting;
  • Able to travel extensively within the country;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce professional reports in English language;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing work demands;
  • Willingness to accept other assignments when needed

The successful candidate will be expected to start working from 1st of September 2021. S/he will be under a probation period for the first 3 months of the contracted period and will be working full time (40 hours a week
