Job Description

ICCO Cooperation, is a global non-government organization, established in the Netherlands in 1965, and works through 5 regional and 26 country offices in Asia, Africa and Latin Americo. ICCO Cooperation co-implements programs together with multiple stakeholders and networks that are dedicated to improve food security and sustainable consumption, stimulate economic empowerment, promote responsible businesses and ensure inclusion.

ICCO Cooperation South and Central Asia-Nepal office invites application from interested and eligible candidates for the following two positions for the EU funded project, "HAMRO COFFEE; Expanding Opportunities for Nepalese Coffee Producers and Traders"

Procurement Officer:  based in Kathmandu with frequent travel to project districts

The core responsibility of the Procurement Officer is to manage the procurement of good and services for the project and work closely with ICCO finance officer in financial monitoring and reporting of the project in accordance with ICCO Cooperation and European Commission policies and guidelines in order to ensure transparency and accountability.

Profile of the candidate
Education

  • At least a Master's degree in a relevant academic subject (MBA/MBS)

Experience/Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of project finance and procurement procedure
  • Knowledge on Government rules and regulations
  • Substantial professional experience, of which at least 3 years has been spent handling accounting and procurement
  • Substantial experience of preparing and executing procurement plan
  • Previous experience on working in a European Commission Project will an added value
