Job Description

PROGRAM OFFICER- FEW

In close coordination with AFM (only when need), SPC and PC, the PO works in close coordination with the District Coordinators, Field Program officers and other staffs in achieving the goal and objectives of program as well as WOREC. S/he is mainly responsible for program planning, implementing, monitoring, reporting, documenting, stakeholder communications and coordination with central office and communities. S/he will provide support for program development, proposal writing tracking all specific and short-term projects that have specified deliverables.

Term of References:

  • Work in close coordination with Program Coordinator to develop and implement campaign of WOREC
  • Ensure that the planned activities of assigned program are going on correctly and the evidence (data/photos/report) have been documenting at central level as well as at district level.
  • Provide managerial support, guidance and technical inputs for WOREC campaigns and timely implementation and accomplishment of planned program/project activities.
  • Execute program/project activities smoothly, with quality and on time by creating a detailed work plan program/project/activities, and assistance to other supervisory staffs, and ensuring the project deliverables on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Monitor the progress and ensure the quality by tracking program implementation and reporting on timely basis and making necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the respective project.
  • Coordinate and support to central staff, help to establish organizational monitoring and evaluation system; provide support to develop, orient and apply different monitoring forms/formats, tools and checklist for program/project monitoring.
  • Make field plans and carry out supervision and monitoring visits and provide technical inputs and required support to staff for successful completion of respective program/projects.
  • Provide support and ensure effective implementation and institutionalization of the policies, rules and regulations of organization.
  • Lead and provide support to develop annual and periodic plan based on past experience/learning and innovations and WOREC’s strategic plan using the standardized form that clearly define objective, activities, indicators, expected results, time frame, budget etc.
  • Strengthen and maintain relationship with various governments, non- government organizations and various networks that work promoting human rights and social justice.

CORE COMPETENCE :

The Program Officer reports directly to Program Coordinator. S/he will be responsible to coordinate various governments, non- government organizations and various networks, CBOs and develop plan and organize the VAW orientation and training with them in WOREC’s working districts. S/he will be responsible to develop and implement the women rights and social justice campaign, VAW campaign, human rights and women’s human rights considering the project documents as well as WOREC’s vision and mission
