Job Description

POSITION: DISTRICT COORDINATOR-2 PERSONS

In close coordination with SPC, Program Director (only when need), Executive Chairperson (only when need), the DC takes lead role and works in close coordination with the Project Coordinators, Program Officers and other staffs in achieving the goal and objectives of WOREC. S/he is mainly responsible for organizational development and management, program development, implementation and quality management, documentation, stakeholder communications and coordination with local stakeholders. S/he oversees the district program in integrated approach including health service, planning, implementation, monitoring and tracking all specific and short-term projects that have specified deliverables.

 

 

Term of References:

  • Works closely with the District Development Committee (DDC), Women and Children Development Office (WDO), Village Development Committee (VDC) and other stakeholders in the district to carry out the WOREC’s project activities and campaigns.
  • Provides technical assistance to Program Officers routinely to implement joint district work plan.
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of, and works collaboratively with, the district- level Program Focal Person.
  • Prepares periodic District Program Reports and submits to concerned Sr./ Program Coordinator of Head Office.
  • Manage day to day administration of district office, including setting up office systems while working closely with the Head office, day to day administration
  • Management/overseeing Revolving fund awarded to different groups and community under livelihood projects.
  • Monitoring of district based local partners if any as well as monitors the overall operational and technical quality and completion of program deliverables.
  • Monitor and support to social mobilizes / program officers for effective implementation of women right based intervention at the community level.
  • Oversee and coordinate district-based key stakeholder meetings to ensure effective integration of program activities into target districts and close collaboration with community counterparts.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of district program timelines, tasks, milestones, resource requirements, costs, risks and execution.
  • Liaising with district stakeholders to ensure work is progressing as planned and on schedule.
  • Contribute to the program annual work planning, quarterly reporting, monitoring and evaluation and other reporting needs as requested.
  • Support senior program coordinators, program coordinators and program officers in the definition and execution of program activities and the development of plans, schedules, budget and deliverables.
  • Provide support to admin and HR personnel and ensure for managing information system, maintaining personal files, hiring appropriate staff and consultants and providing orientation/ induction to them.
  • Provide support and guidance for financial management and ensure project funds are managed as per accounting policies and procedures, financial records of the projects are up to date, financial, bills and vouchers are verified regularly, and the status of cash flow projection and actual reporting are made and provided feedbacks to management team at least quarterly basis, and reports and supporting documents for funders are maintained as per agreements, and other financial requirements maintained properly.
  • Monitor and review program budget and expenditures, financial forecasts, working with partners to ensure compliance with corporate and client regulations.
  • Regularly confer with Head Office, Partner Organization to get performance feedback and to resolve problems or issues should they arise.

CORE COMPETENCE:

The District Coordinators will oversee implementation of program activities at the district level. They will manage program systems and procedures; provide financial oversight of district bank account support technical implementation and activities when needed. They will be responsible to liaison with government counterparts and other stakeholders to foster good working relationships at the district level. They work closely with the Head office to assure technical and operational management and quality control.
