Job Description

POSITION: SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD OFFICER -1 PERSON

In close coordination with SPC, AFM, Chairperson/ED, the Sustainable Livelihood Coordinator takes lead role and works in close coordination with the District Coordinators, Program officers and other field staffs in achieving the goal and objectives of Sustainable Livelihood program as well as WOREC. S/he is mainly responsible for program planning, implementing, monitoring, reporting, documenting, stakeholder communications and coordination with field and other various stakeholders. S/he oversees the Livelihood program development, proposal writing tracking all specific and short-term projects that have specified deliverables.

Term of References:

  • Responsible to oversee the Sustainable Livelihood program. Also support and supervise the program officers of Livelihood to implement the program.
  • Ensure that the planned activities of project are going on correctly and the evidences have been documenting at central level as well as district level.
  • Coordinate and support to central staff, help to establish organizational monitoring and evaluation system; provide support to develop, orient and apply different monitoring forms/formats, tools and use check list for program/project monitoring.
  • Develop program proposals and fundraising activities for creating sustainable livelihood opportunities to marginalized communities.
  • Take lead to provide guidance, support and technical input to sustainable livelihood program (JTAs and Social Mobiliser) and ESCR team.
  • Provide managerial support, guidance and technical inputs for WOREC ESCR, timely implementation and accomplishment of planned program/project activities.
  • Execute program/project activities smoothly, with quality and on time by creating a detailed work plan program/project/activities, and assistance to other supervisory staffs, and ensuring the project deliverables on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Monitor the progress and ensure the quality by tracking program implementation and reporting on timely basis and making necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the respective project.
  • Make field plans and carry out supervision and monitoring visits and provide technical inputs and required support to staff for successful completion of program/projects in all district where WOREC has been working since long.
  • Strengthen and maintain relationship with various governments, non- government organizations and various networks that work promoting women’s sustainable livelihood program.

 

CORE COMPETENCE :

Sustainable Livelihood Officer oversee the Overall managerial and technical responsibility to drive best practices of all livelihoods, agro based and climate change program planning, implementation, monitoring, documentation and reporting. They will be responsible to coordinate and establish linkages with government agencies and other government and non- government stakeholders.
