Position Title: HR & Admin Manager

Duty Station: LWF Nepal, Country Office, Kathmandu

Report to: Country Director, LWF Nepal

Grade/Step: 9/0

Job Summary

The Human Resource and Administration Manager (HRAM) reports directly to the Country Director, is both responsible for human resource management and more general administrative management of the LWF Nepal program. The position includes HR-related duties in the functional areas of benefit administration, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, and ensure compliance with the employment-laws and regulations. In addition, the position includes tasks related to administrative and operational duties, overseeing IT, procurement and vendor management.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant University Degree Bachelor and 10 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years of experience of working for an International NGO and/or development and humanitarian organization.

OR

Relevant University Degree Masters and minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience with an International NGO and/or development and humanitarian organisation.

Required key competencies and skills

  • Proven track record in HR and Administration in an I/NGO.
  • Solid understanding of Government’s labor laws and other relevant laws required for an INGO.
  • Ability to work in a flexible but able to manage stress and organize the work in a responsive manner under pressure and where priority setting is required.
  • Result oriented team player with decision making skills.
  • Good understanding of social inclusion, gender and caste issues (organizational).
  • Proven track record in coordination, liaison and networking.
  • Experience in complaints handling, conflict management and negotiation.
  • Very good computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Uphold highest standards from staff to follow the LWF Staff Code of Conduct.
  • Strong skills in writing and communicating in English and Nepali (both oral and written) is required.
  • Knowledge of other national languages would be an advantage.
