Job Description

Job Summary:

The Team Leader-Healthwill perform under direct supervision of Program Director.S/he will be an expert in his or her field and will be responsible for leading health project activities and guiding staff members in assuring quality results. S/he is expected to be familiar with National and International health agenda/issues and will be responsible to participate in designing and implementing health programme strategy. In addition, S/he is responsible for monitoring and following up visit of health program activities at field level, a part of the organization’s management team and represents in health program activities to solve health issues. S/he designs and develops the health project proposals and country office strategy.
 

Major Responsibilities for the post of Team Leader-Health:

 Responsible in designing, determining, and implementation ofHealth Programme Strategy.
 Ensure that Health Programme Strategy understood by project members.
 Participates in developing and reviewing the Country Office Strategy.
 Planning and reviews of health projects.
 Monitoring and supervision of health project teams and overall performance of all health projects.
 Implement and maintain health project management systems.
 Designs and develops health project proposals in coordination with Team Leader-Business Development.
 Support in preparing budget for health project proposals.
 Find out new funding opportunities for health program.
 Participate in conducting need assessments as required.
 Participate in preparing job descriptions for health staff.
 Involve actively in feedback and performance assessment for health staff.
 Responsible for health personnel coaching.
 Participate in health staff recruitment process.

 Responsible for capacity building strategy for health project teams.

 Coordinate with HR for health personnel capacity building activities.
 Responsible for mentoring health programme team members.
 Plan and ensure to enhance capacity building forhealth staff in coordination with HR department.


Duty Station:Kathmandu with frequent travel to the field.
