Job Description

Helen Keller International (HKI) /Nepal, an International non-profit organization (INGO) works to improve the sight and lives of the vulnerable by combatting the causes and consequences of blindness, poor health and malnutrition through public health approaches, build capacity of organizations, and contributes to policy changes through systems strengthening and operations research. HKUNepars nutrition is the largest portfolio and in partnership with the USAID funded Suaahara II and Sabal programs HKUNepal currently implements health and nutrition programs across 46 districts of Nepal.

HKUNepal is currently seeking applications from qualified, experienced and self-motivated Nepalese citizens for the positionof Sr. HR Manager as stated below. This is a full-time position based in the HKI Nepal Office.

Description:

  • Support the HR team on the development and preparation of plans and schedules for regular HR policy, procedures and their compliance.
  • Ensure all compliance policies are regularly updated, effective, and monitoring for compiance is in place.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and analysis of the country staffing structure, salary structure, salary surveys, its policies and procedures.
  • Design human resource and personnel development plans and polocies in line with HKI's country vision and strategies to ensure staff capacity building, retention and growth.
  • Advise senior management on appropriate resolution of employee relation issues. 
  • Develop and implement staff support plans particularly for field based staff and ensure all Managers in the field are regularly oriented and updated on their management and supervision responsibilities.
  • Oversee coordination of and support to the HR team on the annual employee performance review  process to ensure timeliness, and to promote an inclusive and inspiring working environment for the country office and all employees.

Required for the role:

Education:

  • Must have a Master degree in Human Resource and Personnel Development, or in an equivalent related field.

Work experience:

  • At least 10-15 years of professional leadership and management experience in the field of human resource development and management

Skills:

  • Critical thinking and problem solving; change management; organizational development and planning; policy development; capacity building and training; organizational and staff development.
