Taking standard measurements using a tape measures
Accurately recording models measurements, instructions and preferences instructions provided by designers.
Modifying fabrics according to designers instructions
Discussing designs with the designers
Marking patterns and designs or using pre - designed ones to cut fabric into the necessary shapes.
Being able to imagine how the end fabric will look like from the pattern designs.
Ensuring proper measurements, adjustments, and fittings
Making Daily sample production plan
Setting daily production targets for each sample operator
Maintaining records of pattern sets
Responsible to evaluate and approve all samples from development, fitting, adjustment and approval
Able to handle paper pattern and adjustment.
Deal with designers for new sample development
Experienced to handle large quantities of new style sample, able to serve multi - customers on different standards.
Technical, design, pattern or equivalent qualification in all kind of fashions
Ensure pre-production sample are developed according to the established fit and quality standards as well as complying with cost specification.
Maintain Accurate inventory in sample room
Receive and process sample requests.
Job Specification
Proven Experience as a sample master / Pattern Master
Excellent Sewing skills with knowledge of various stitching techniques.
Creativity and ability to develop new designs and coordinate with designer
Aptitude for working with patterns
High School Diploma or equivalent certificate in this field
2+ years of experience in pattern making and stitching
Proficiency in using different types of sewing machine
Ability to work in a team or individually when required
Outstanding problem solving skills.
