Job Description

Position: Field Coordinator

Placement: District Project Office Rasuwa

Required Personnel: 1

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Take lead role in programmatic and financial management of the project
  • Provide professional support to the team for result-based planning and implementation of the program particularly on shelter construction, WASH and livelihood as per the project implementation plan
  • Ensure quality of survey, design and estimation of construction related activities of the project
  • Liaise with project partner, district and national level stakeholders for construction related activities
  • Track the project expenditure in collaboration with finance officer and report to program manager
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports as required, and check quality, accuracy, consistency and coherence with work plan and budget
  • Supervise team and field workers on daily basis
  • Coordinate field work with local representatives/community members
  • Work with Monitoring and Evaluation team in tracking progress and capturing data
  • Ensure compliance with government regulatory issues in program development and implementation
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualification and Experience: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience in engineering and project management. Good interpersonal communication, facilitation, coordination and presentation skills and excellent communication and report writing skills both in English and Nepali.

Organization Summary

Following the devastating earthquake of 25th April 2015, BATAS extended its priorities to humanitarian support and emergency response realizing an imperative need for it. Currently, the Foundation has been working in Nuwakot, Sindhupalchok and Rasuwa districts for relief, recovery and reconstruction activities.

 

Initiated as a Corporate Social Responsibility of BATAS Organisation, BATAS Foundation is an autonomous NGO. However the Foundation still enjoys many forms of technical and financial support from the company when needed.
