Key Job Responsibilities:
Conduct technical assessments for housing, irrigation and WASH related infrastructures
Ensure shelter, irrigation and WASH infrastructures are constructed with government approved guidelines and standards
Provide continuous feedback to local technical persons on shelter, irrigation and WASH construction
Plan, communicate, supervise and monitor all construction related works
Perform detail feasibilities and surveying works and prepare design reports
Verify the quality and quantities of materials transported to the field
Maintain the measurement records of the scheme in detail
Orient the community members of the project sites and help them mobilize their efforts and resources by sensitizing and guiding them
Ensure beneficiaries are consulted and their views taken into account at all stages of the program
Ensure construction works are in line with approved design, BOQ and Specifications
Support field coordinator in preparation of technical and periodic report
Have sound knowledge of computer skills and design software (AUTOCAD)
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualification and Experience: Sub- Overseer or Overseer level degree in civil engineering from a recognized institute with minimum 1 year of work experience in shelter or house construction, preferably with NGO
