Job Description

Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON) is an award winning national umbrella network of youth-led organizations, which acts as a platform for collaboration, cooperation, joint action and collective endeavors between youth organizations in Nepal. AYON currently has 92 youth led member organizations from seven provinces of Nepal. Working since 2005, AYON has pioneered in building capacity of youth and youth organizations, undertaking quality research, and carrying out meaningful advocacy to bridge youth voices at the decision making level. Our work and impact over the years has been recognized nationally and internationally. This has been possible through the team of awesome young people we work with.  We are looking to expand our team and work together to make meaningful impact in the lives of young people and other communities that we work with.

AYON announces vacancy for following posts. Passionate young people with prior experiences and passion working on social justice programs, human rights, Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and youth advocacy are encouraged to apply. 

This position is for 1 year, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability and performance.

Director of Programs:

Oversee overall management of programs, develop projects and reports, build partnership and lead the fundraising. Must have knowledge and experience of financial management and leading team of multiple staffs. Ability to lead large number of volunteers, staffs as well as work independently. Director of Program must also have extensive knowledge and understanding of Human Rights and socio-political context, SRHR, National and international laws and youth movement in Nepal. 

Qualification: Minimum 5 years’ experience with Bachelors or Masters with 3 years’ experience in the relevant post at similar level.
