TERMS OF REFERENCE (ToR)
APPRENTICE Opportunity
Communications and Partnership
TIME FRAME: 6 months
REPORTS TO: Communications and Partnership Specialist, Hamro Samman Project
LOCATION: Kathmandu, Nepal

 

BACKGROUND:
Hamro Samman is a five-year counter trafficking-in-persons project supported by the American and the British people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Department for International Development (UK aid) and implemented by Winrock International. Hamro Samman works with the Government of Nepal, civil society, and private sector partners to prevent trafficking, protect victims and those at risk, and prosecute perpetrators.

 

RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:
The responsibility of the APPRENTICE will be to work with the Hamro Samman team on planning and executing processes to support communication and outreach among our various stake holders, especially showcasing our work and progress. This is on-Job Training opportunity for candidate to learn on communications and partnerships engagement.

 

ESSENTIAL REPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Communications and Partnership Specialist on;

  • branding and marking compliance
  • logistics of event planning
  • planning and execution of a streamlined process for:
  • flow of regular updates and information to support communication material/reporting from all partners and HS team members
  • coordinate for the process, producing, development of project’s case studies and success stories including reporting from partners
  • streamlined process of communication from HS to Home Office and Donors and public

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree on communication, journalism, marketing, international development or relevant field

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Concept clarity on developing communication and advocacy plans, materials, and methods, including monitoring the impact of these on target audiences.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and Nepali required
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
  • Basic graphic design skills desirable
