Our Sansar are looking for a live in Social Worker for our Children's Home in Parwanipur, near Birgunj. The Social Worker will be the main person looking after the children. We also have a live in Project Assistant, a cook and there are always our project coordinators and other staff to help when needed. Our boys go to school and have various activities arranged after the school hours.
Please note that this is a live in position at the Parwanipur home so the Social Worker must be happy to move there.
Experience working with children is a must (at least 5 years), also at least conversational level of English (must be able to write emails, reports, case studies in English) and computer skills (email, Microsoft Office, Google Drive) are required. The right candidate will be caring with enthusiasm to change children's lives
The work is primarily designed to assist with the Children’s Home project in Parwanipur, Parsa:
a) Ensure the home is secure for the children to live there
b) Ensure the home is clean at all times
c) Assist with homework for the children
d) Organise extra curricular activities as per skills and interests of the children
e) Assist with home tutoring of the children that can’t for whatever reason attend school
f) Assist with organising skills training with other organisations for the older children when suitable
g) Walk children to and from the school
h) Ensure daily routine for the children is prepared and implemented
i) Provide homely environment for the children
j) Be responsible for monthly budgeting
k) Prepare case studies for any new children, keep all the paperwork of the children up to date on the system
Starting salary - 22,000Rs a month and we also provide accommodation and food on top of that. The salary will be revised after 6 months probation period.
