Job Description

1. Project Manager (Based in Janakpurdham with frequent field visit):

The PM will be responsible for the overall management and implementation of the project on a day-to-day basis, including personnel, subcontracts, training, program and financial management activities. A national-level NGO working for governance, peace and human rights seeks qualified and experienced professionals for a project focused at increasing the role of civil society in promoting participatory governance and inclusive development in Province Two.

Minimum qualifications for the PM:

Dynamic, creative, self-motivated, ability to multi-task; at least graduate in Political Science or related field with a minimum of five years' experience in inter/national organization/s; demonstrated ability to build relationships and networks across different lines; advocacy and fundraising experience; and fluent in English and Nepali is must and Maithili language as an additional advantage.

2. Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer (MELO) (based in Kathmandu with occasional travel to Province Two):

The MELO will be responsible for ensuring the quality in monitoring, evaluation and knowledge management functions in the project. S/he will support the PM in collection, analysis and documentation of project activities and timely reporting.

Minimum qualifications for the MELO:

At least a bachelor's degree in social science, management, international relations or related fields with two years' professional experience; should have proven experience in M&E tools and methodologies; must be proficient in report writing and presentation in English and Nepali.
