Reports To Director of Programs
Department Programme
Base Location Kathmandu
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and implementation of the project, at the central level in coordination with the Regional Managers based in SFCG’s regional offices. S/he will be responsible for the timely implementation of the project activities and deliverables; liaise with partners; coordinate with national level actors and stakeholders; and measure, document and communicate the project results.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Project Management

Lead in the planning of project implementation plan at the national level with project consortium partners and regional managers;

Ensure smooth coordination and synergy between various project components

Ensure Project start up protocol implementation and compliance;

Ensure that the project meets government and donor compliance requirements;

Maintain and strengthen donor relations for effective project implementation;

Lead in the development of donor reports in coordination with the regional managers and ensure that all such reports meet donor compliance;

Support the Media manager in the design and implementation of radio and TV program

Lead the project management committee at the national level

Oversee the design and delivery of capacity building training to government officials, political party leaders, police and women’s group

Maintain and manage relationship and coordinate with Nepal Police HQ
Partnership Management

Lead in the development and overall management of the project budget for national level program including signing off of partner’s financial reports

Lead in partnership management including identifying and assessing potential partners for the project, ensuring timely signing of partnership MoUs and ensuring effective achievement of partner’s deliverables

Ensure smooth coordination and synergy between project partners at the national level

Coordinate with consortium partners to convene central level policy dialogues
M&E
-
Develop M&E framework in consultation with Director of Programs and Design and Monitoring & Evaluation Manager

Work with the SFCG Design Monitoring and Evaluation team to design research and monitoring tools, and ensure that lessons learned are incorporated into project
Communications, Visibility and Representation

Build and maintain network and alliances with national level stakeholders (political parties, security sector, judiciary, civil society) and like-minded organizations

Work with the SFCG communications team to ensure project visibility and publicity
Organizational

Contribute to the organizational strategic plan and development processes

Perform any other duties as required.
