Job Description

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in International Development, Gender, Human Rights, or in other related Social Sciences.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience at the national or international level in design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects and establishing inter-relationships among international organization and national governments in the field of gender and human rights of women;
  • Expertise and experience in policy advocacy and programming on  women’s leadership and participation, gender responsive planning, budgeting and goverance at national and local level;
  • Experience of working with or exposure of government planning, programming and budgeting processes at national and or local level is an added advantage;
  • Sound knowledge of international standards on gender equality and women’s empowerment and related instruments;
  • A proven ability to liaise with a myriad of stakeholders and partners, including government, civil society, international organizations and grassroots organizations;
  • Experience of working with UN organizations is desirable.

Language:

  • Fluency in oral and written Nepali and English essential.
