Job Description

Position summary: 
 
The Programme Associate will mainly be responsible for assisting the fund raising team in donor tracking and initiating preparation of concept notes and proposals for programme/project development and fund raising considering BNMT Nepal’s strategic plan. The incumbent will need to display sound writing and editing skills and good knowledge on proposal development.
 
Qualifications/experience required:
 
The incumbent should have a Bachelors Degree in Public Health or development studies related field with at least 2-years of experience in a similar capacity. Master’s Degree and experience in fund raising and in preparing project proposals will be an asset. More specifically, BNMT Nepal seeks the following competencies for this position: 
 
  • Experience of interpreting donor policies and guidelines and producing and /or making recommendations for producing high quality funding proposals and donor reports; 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; 
  • Knowledge of project design and project cycle processes; 
  • Participatory and team approach to work and behavior; 
  • Good computer skills including navigating email, internet and MS WORD, PowerPoint and data analysis tools, SPSS; 
  • Should be willing to undertake additional responsibilities, ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure and 
  • Numerate with some understanding of budgets.
Duration: Initially 1-year with the possibility of extension. First 6-months will be probationary period.
