Job Description

Birat Nepal Medical Trust (BNMT Nepal) is a non-profit making Nepalese non- governmental organisation dedicated towards the improved health and wellbeing of Nepalese people.
BNMT Nepal is a Sub-Recipient (SR) of a project funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria through the United Nations Development Programme
(UNDP), Nepal. The organization is implementing the “Strengthening Health Resilience in Nepal – TB Program” in close coordination with the National Tuberculosis Control Centre, Provincial Health Directorates, and Health Offices in Lumbini and Karnali Provinces of Nepal, effective from 1 April 2025. Following recent vacancies for the position of District Project Coordinators, BNMT Nepal invites applications from qualified, motivated, and energetic candidates for placement in the following districts:

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences

  • 3 Bachelor in Public Health (BPH) or equivalent degree in health related field with 2-years working experience in TB program. Local candidates are particularly encouraged to apply

BNMT’s work covers strengthening the capacity of local institutions in responding to community health needs, empowering communities, especially disadvantaged groups, in accessing and advocating for increased, improved, and equitable access to essential health services and developing innovative models and approaches that provide affordable and accessible quality health care services As a charitable, non-sectarian, nongovernmental organisation BNMT focuses on promoting universal coverage and health equity, accountability and effectiveness in the

Nepalese health sector. These principles have embedded into the practice of BNMT Nepal. BNMT Nepal is governed by a board of Nepalese nationals with diverse experience in health, livelihoods, climate change, and social and community development. The BNMT Nepal board and the BNMT UK senior management team have been mentoring and transferring their knowledge, skill and experiences to the newly formed BNMT Nepal over the last few years for the benefit of Nepalese people. BNMT UK continues to offer this oversight and mentoring to BNMT Nepal to ensure that BNMT Nepal can benefit from the partnerships, collaboration and success of BNMT UK and attain the vision of its board.
