Job Description

Key responsibilities:
 
  1. Develop Proposal & program.
  2. Supervise and Monitor the NSA program of organization.
  3. Manage all aspects of the NSA program cycle including: needs assessment and baseline; program and partner identification; organizational capacity reviews; program design; budgeting; negotiation and contracting; program delivery support; financial audit; monitoring and evaluation; financial and narrative PR reporting; final evaluation; dissemination of lessons learned. 
  4. Lead for the international program team on cross-organizational work to continually improve monitoring, evaluation and information dissemination processes. 
  5. Ensuring an appropriate Program management framework is in place, incorporating the Gateway review process if required.
  6. Establishing formal reporting arrangements on Program progress.
  7. Coordinate with the concerned agencies, partner organizations, and district chapters to motivate them to perform the activities effectively.
  8. Appraising and managing risks of the NSA Program.
  9. Co-coordinating and fostering teamwork.
  10. Undertake monitoring and project development visits as required. 
  11. Manage grants and contracts, working with PR to adhere to donor requirements, and represent NATA to potential donors as required. 
  12. Review and advice on the achievement of NATA’s strategic objectives for its international program.
  13. Carry out any other tasks assigned by President, General Secretary.        
        Qualification:
  1. Masters degree in Public Health.
  2. Professional experience in health sector at managerial level at least 3 years.
  3. Proven experience in concept notes/proposal writing.
  4. Similar experience in TB related project will be an asset.
  5. Skill in developing and implementing international programs strategies and operational plan.
          Skills and Competencies:
  1. Fluency in written and spoken Nepali and English Language.
  2. IT literate (MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point Presentations).
  3. Good Interpersonal Skill.
  4. Ability to work under pressure.
  5. Self motivated and creative.
  6. Good Managerial and HR Management capacity.

Organization Summary

Nepal Anti-Tuberculosis Association (NATA) is a non-governmental, non-profit making voluntary organization established in 1953 with a view to raising public awareness about tuberculosis (TB) and adopting preventive, promative and curative measures towards the control of the diseases. It is the first organization of the kind engaged in tuberculosis sector.NATA has been working together with Government of Nepal (GoN) in implementing tuberculosis project since 1965. It has been playing an active role in controlling TB to the best of its preventive activities and making its curative services more effective according to GoN’s new policies and practices on DOTS programme through mobilization of its district branches and volunteers.
