Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Economics, Sociology/Anthropology, Civil Engineering (Water & Sanitation), Public Health, Environmental Sciences or in relevant subjects.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Monitoring and Evaluating of community-based water, sanitation and hygiene programmes.
  • High command in written and spoken English.
  • Nepali citizen.
  • Preferably below 45 years of age.

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES

  • Good knowledge of Management Information System and computer applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Good competency in statistics and data analysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review existing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems of RWSP, and develop an M&E frameworks/plan, and reporting system for the projects.
  • Provide professional expertise and assistance in monitoring & evaluation, including data collection, statistics and data analysis, and utilization of M&E results to improve and strengthen the programme interventions.
  • Support to establish database management system and update M&E database regularly by collating data through field staff.
  • Revise the existing data collection tools as necessary and train staffs on the M&E tools and to enhance overall M&E activities of RWSP.
  • Conduct field monitoring and assessment to fill data gaps and verify information collected by field staff.
  • Document any good practices and innovations developed as part of the implementation of the projects by RWSP.
  • Liaise effectively with WASH Sectors of Nepal for sharing and leaning initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Nepal government local level for its capacity building training and learning visits.

REMUNERATION

Starling salary will be NCR 91,592/- per month with Provident Fund Scheme. Medical cover for self and immediate dependents will be provided as per the GWS Staff Regulations.
The term for employment for the post of M&E Officer will end on 31 March 2020.
