Job Description

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer or the authority delegated by CEO

Qualification, Skills and Aptitude

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, trained and experienced in desktop publishing and preferably having prior experience of working in an educational institute,
  • Excellent IT skills, especially with graphic and webpage design,
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Illustration, Photoshop and Freehand,
  • Be creative and innovative,
  • Must be able to meet set deadlines,
  • Able to work in a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Graphic Designer, she/ he needs to perform the following duties and responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with the administration team to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive designs,
  • Employ design fundamentals when selecting typography, composition, layout and color in design work,
  • Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print,
  • Develop concepts, graphics and layouts of brochure, calendar, flyers, etc.,
  • Review the final layouts and suggest improvement if required,
  • Employ color, type, illustration, photography and various print and layout techniques when designing a project,
  • Maintain the website of the school,
  • Create promotional displays, brochure, flyers, forms, etc. of the school,
  • Develop the layout for school newsletter, monthly or annual magazine,
  • Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief,
  • Liaise with external publishing house on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality,

Other Duties

  • Assist in monitoring of network and network devices connected in school network,
  • Perform any other duties related to the school within the scope of position.
