Finance & Administration Manager

Abt Associates is currently seeking a Finance & Administration Manager for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Operational Research (MEOR) project funded by UK Government through the Department for International Development (DFID). MEOR enables DFID Nepal to continuously improve and adapt its programme to ensure that the Nepal Health Sector Programme 3 (NHSP3) intended outcomes and impact are achieved by:

  • Contributing to strengthening results and progress monitoring of DFID Nepal’s health sector programmes, including validating methodologies and tracking progress against the NHSP3 Theory of Change and Logframe and assessing value for money.
  • Helping to build and share evidence derived from DFID/NHSP3 programme, and health sector reform and equitable service delivery more generally in Nepal.

 The Opportunity

The Finance & Administration Manager will contribute to the successful management of the financial and operational requirements of the DFID-funded MEOR programme in Nepal. The Finance & Administration Manager will manage and support in project accounting, financial management, compliance and general administrative support for the programme, duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Create and maintain book of accounts and generate financial reports necessary to submit to concerned authorities, and monitoring financial status.
  • Ensure project budget projections, expenditure, tracking and reporting are in accordance with DFID compliance standards and project requirements, procedures, and practices for compliance and audits;
  • Provide financial administration to programme including approvals of purchase requisitions, consultant agreements, vendor invoices, and client invoices;
  • Undertake administrative activities to ensure smooth operation of the project office
