1. INTRODUCTION
WaterAid Nepal (WAN) was established in 1987 during UN Water and Sanitation Decade, 1981- 1990. WAN has particularly a strong track record in supporting local partners for service delivery; water, sanitation and hygiene. It pioneered the service delivery role of NGOs in the sector and lately has placed an increased emphasis on learning, advocacy and influencing the sector. WAN is continuously working on water, sanitation and hygiene which are basic building blocks of public health.
2. BACKGROUND
WAN is looking for a vendor for the purpose of wiring and cabling of new office located at Kumaltar, Lalitpur. This Terms of Reference (ToR) is developed seeking for an IT/Electronic service provider company who shall provide the various items required as per the attached BoQ list of items and human resource for installing the entire wiring and cabling of the new building.
3. OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The objective of the assignment is to install wiring and cabling in the WAN office, Located at Khumaltar, Lalitpur.
4. SCOPE OF TASK
ï‚· Company should provide the required items as per the proposed BoQ
ï‚· Company should provide expert team for cabling and wiring at new office building as per BOQ.
ï‚· Ensure timely completion of work
ï‚· Test the connectivity after completion of work.
ï‚· Ensure quality assurance of the service provided.
5. KEY DELIVERABLES
ï‚· Wiring and cabling of the entire office building and in the needed area of office premises.
ï‚· Prepare a work plan in consultation with IT focal person.
ï‚· The entire assigned task should be completed within the agreed timeline and should be as per the requirements. Any misconduct or delay in completion of the work will not be acceptable and WAN keeps the right to take necessary action.
7. General technical information about WAN:
ï‚· Layout of office space with BOQ will be provided upon the request.
ï‚· Location of new office: Khumaltar, Lalitpur (Shall be provided upon the request)
8. REPORTING LINE
The company and its concerned personnel will report to WaterAid Nepal’s IT Focal Person.
9. TIME FRAME
The wiring and cabling of whole office building must be completed before early September 2015.
10. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
ï‚· Company should be working in Nepal for at least 5 years providing wiring and cabling services to large organizations, preferably INGOs.
ï‚· The technical persons representing the company must demonstrate their expertise and qualification as required.
11. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ï‚· WaterAid reserves the right to accept & reject any quotation without giving any verbal and /or written rationale
ï‚· WaterAid will deduct appropriate taxes at source according to the government policy Other terms and conditions shall be discussed after selection of the company.
12. SELECTION CRITERIA
Along with the quotation/proposal, Wiring and Cabling Service Provider should submit certificate of company registration along with VAT/PAN registration certificate, Tax clearance certificate. The Team Leader (focal person who deals with WAN) to be deployed at WAN should have at least relevant degree with extensive experience in undertaking similar assignments. The proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the subject line mentioning
“Quotation of rate for “Cabling and Wiring Service” to the following address no later than, 24 August 2015.
