NEWS Team

1. Sr. Copy Editor (Nepali News Desk) | SCE|101|17

Educational Background:

  • Master's in Mass Communication or related field.
  • At least five years experience in reputed media houses. journalism or relevant field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Descriptions:

  • Review content of stories and check for errors of fact, technical errors. creative content miscues, editorial mistakes and all elements needed to deliver quality news.
  • Copy edit scripts and review final oiled versions.
  • Develop ideas for stories and critique available stories to find ways to improve them. Write up daily notes on problems and what could have been done differently.
  • Monitor the works of reporters and news assistants.
  • Determine priority of stories in news bulletin.
  • Ensure that all necessary elements in news packages are delivered in timely fashion.
  • Set quality standards.
  • Give feedback and assistance to staff for improvement.
