Job Description

The Role

As a part of the Sales team, the Sales and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for achieving set revenue targets by selling a range of entertainment and event management services to new and existing clients across Australia, New Zealand and globally. The role also involves contribution to and execution of the marketing campaign, including but not limited to the EDM and social media strategies.

In addition, this role is responsible for recruiting new business opportunities in Australia and New Zealand through sales pitches, presentations and generating sales leads through e-channel, sponsorship and Administrative duties include preparing weekly sales reports, reporting on accounts, and updating databases, presentations and other key documents to ensure all sales related information is accurate.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, build and maintain trusted client relationships that lead to new and continuous business.
  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate client needs on a continuous basis to ensure success of client retention plan.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including partners and partner venues.
  • Ensure event profit margins are met and adhere to budget requirements.
  • Effectively and efficiently complete sales reports and determine annual unit and gross-profit plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and events expenses.
  • Plan and coordinate promotional events and sales conferences
  • Create and maintain all marketing materials for proposals, tender submissions and client marketing purposes.
  • Assist in the execution of the social media and marketing strategy such as monthly EDM creation, overseeing performance and reporting on results.
  • Prepare quarterly reports on market and client feedback.

Job Specification

The successful applicant will have:

  • Strong project management & organisational skills
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from sales activity
  • A relevant certification or degree in business, sales or marketing
  • Experience in sales in a related industry
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team in a changing and multitasking environment with numerous deadlines
  • Research new opportunities and analyse potential threats in the marketplace.
  • Identify new marketing channels and marketplace trends, recommend strategy changes to improve conversions and negotiate contracts.
