Job Description

PROGRAM MONITOR â€ 1 Position (One year term)  

It is based in Kathmandu with frequent travels to program districts of Nepal. Under the direct supervision of Project Coordinator, s/he will be responsible for implementation of the project that includes assistance to planning, monitoring, documentation, logistics management and reporting under the project activities.

 

A. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Support the project coordinator for the base line survey and other assessment to be carried our in Kathmandu valley and project location out of valley.  

2. Development of activity plans, contracts with the beneficiaries and other required sub agreements under the project.  

3. Development of personalized plans for providing housing and livelihood support to the target groups.  

4. Prepare logistics, financial plans and periodic financial statement.  

5. Ensure logistics management in close coordination with coordinator  

6. Expense handling and timely settlements of the advance

7. Keep and manage beneficiary log books, prepares charts of activities of the project.  

8. Collect school records and keeps records of all academic progress of the supported children.   

9. Manage inter / intra office communication and records

10. Keep record & maintains proper storage system for all store items

11. Periodic verifications of stock and inventory of materials and programs utilities  

12. Coordinate with the Transcultural Psycho‐social Organization (TPO) for the psychosocial counseling for the disaster victims.  

13. Facilitate procurement planning and maintenances of program equipments and tools

14. Regular reporting to supervisor on project activities

15. Manage correspondence, filings, mails and support for coordination.  

16. Other task as and when necessary as directed by the Supervisor  

 

B. Other Conditions:

1. The Program Monitor shall perform the job under the supervision of the Project Coordinator.

2. The Program Monitor shall frequently travel to remote villages in connection with the job

3. The Program Monitor will acquaint herself/himself with NGF Child Rights Projects and ensuring the children's rights should be a guiding principle in counseling and monitoring.

4. The Program Monitor shall co‐operate with other staff of NGF to carry out the duties and responsibilities and additional functions in the organization.

5. When needed, working hours shall not be limited to the normal office hours of NGF.

 

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies from a recognized university,

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in planning, reporting and program organizing

• Good knowledge of computer operations and having command over written and spoken English and Nepali languages.
