Duties and responsibilities
The IELTS & TOEFL Instructor is a key role for the academic program of the company as s/he is mainly responsible for the training of enrolled students towards achieving the IELTS and TOEFL tests.
This IELTS & TOEFL Instructor post is for positions at the KEF Office in Butwal, KEF Office in Pokhara and KEF Office in Chitwan. S/He reports to the corresponding KEF Office Chief Executive unless stated otherwise. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Language training:
· Overall planning, management and execution of English language tests preparation classes (IELTS, TOEFL)
· English language training for the speaking sections of IELTS and TOEFL
· Conduct mock IELTS and TOEFL interviews and oral tests
· Deliver lectures and tips on the different sections of the IELTS and TOEFL tests, primarily on the Listening, Reading and Writing sections.
Students Orientation:
· Orientation for visa documentation
· Orientation for pre-landing and post-landing activities
Coordination:
· Act as a bridge between students and counselors
· Coordination between students, instructor and management
Support to KEF office:
· Design and deliver relevant training on Business English for the office staff when needed
Reporting
· Prepare an overall academic action plan and strategy for the department to be presented during staff meeting
· Regular reporting of academic activities and results as instructed by the office Chief Executive.
Qualifications
Education
Ideally a graduate of a foreign university (preferably from the UK, USA or Australian) OR have at least 3 years English language teaching and/or training experience preferably for IELTS and/or TOEFL.
Required skills and experience
· Excellent knowledge of Anglophone countries education system
· Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to motivate students
· Good planning and organisational skills
· Good computer literacy, including ability to use effectively MS Office products, email, social media and Internet, and learn KEF proprietary software.
Language skills
· Proficiency in both English and Nepali
