Role and Responsibilities:

Head of Compliance will be responsible to design and implement an effective internal control     system pertaining to the national level development bank. The incumbent will be responsible for proper monitoring of the compliance of the organization with various rules, regulations, laws, directives, and circulars of regulatory bodies as well as equally important role shall be fulfilled to ensure that the internal rules, regulations and authority delegation that have been developed by the organization are followed. Also the post shall be responsible for the preparation and timely reporting of the NRB reports to the central bank as required.

Qualifications and other Requirements :

  • Should have completed CA degree having membership of Institute of Chartered  Accountants of  Nepal along with at least Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management/Economics  or related field.
  • Should have experience in audit or compliance related work for above 4 years.Preference  will be  given to candidates with experience working in a BFIs.
  • Should have strong knowledge of Acts, Rules and Regulations related to Public Company  and  Banking.
  • Should have knowledge of NRB Reports.
  • Should be convergent with NRB Unified Directives.
  • Should have knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (NFRS, IFRS/IAS, NSA,  ISA).
  • Should be competent with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint etc.)
  • Age at the date of closing of application shall be more than 28 years and less than 40 years.

Preferred Skills :

  • Candidates with good inter personal skills, customer orientation and leadership is  preferred.
  • Previous role as Head in Compliance/Risk/Internal Audit is preferred.
  • Positive attitude and constructive behavior is must.
  • Good analytical and report writing skills is an advantage.
  • Advanced IT skills specially in Excel and knowledge of Pumori will be an added  advantage.
